Process Briefs

An essential aspect of a design piece is the process and intention behind it. Knowing the “Why?” of every technical decision creates a harmonious and effective design to life. With this in mind, here is a sneak peak of some projects I’ve developed.

NFL Network Rebrand

Join me as the NFL trades in hot dogs and beer for charcuterie boards and martinis. This network rebrand focused on a short commercial that demonstrated a more elegant persona for the well known football brand.

Book Cover Design

Mixing my love of books with my knowledge of graphic design concepts, I am always excited about making a writers story come to life through the cover of a book. Here, you can find my preferred editorial projects created for a clients such as a practicing doctor, a children’s targeted audience, etc.

The Power Of a Compliment

What's your response when you're told that you're beautiful? I conducted an independent project regarding beauty. I did not take these pictures in order to get a reaction, but simply filming beauty and this is the result. Without intending to, I captured the effect of simple positivity and a compliment. The reactions are perfect.

Vinyl Covers

Vinyl covers using combination of color, imagery, and typography. Using these three elements that worked together in harmony I was able to create the desired effect. I recreated famous albums like Colors Beck, Ventura Anderson Paak, Love in the time of Lexapro Oneohtrix Point Never, etc.

Programming

To truly amplify a piece of design for screens I learnt that I need to utilise code, not as an afterthought but an intrinsic part of the creative process. Code allows us me to create flexible dynamic design systems

Rough Draft Bar

A well re-designed visual identity for Rough Draft Bar located in Kingston, New York’s historic four corners. It is a place with a curated selection of new books, beer, cider, wine, coffee and pastries; and a place for people from Kingston and beyond to come together for reading, drinking, conversation, and nightly events.

Brand Identity

A well designed visual identity doesn’t just support a brand; it elevates it. From your packaging to your social presence, a strong visual identity instantly communicates who you are, what you’re about, and why people should want to interact with you.

Silk Screen Printing

Printed on 44×60 Somerset Radiant White paper, this special identity project titled “This is me” was printed 50 times and has extensive search behind it. In this twentieth century intaglio printmaking technique the inks used are very durable, the colors are extremely vivid, particularly for outdoor uses, making this a unique reproduction technique.

Digital Work

Generated digital image files for use in digital and traditional printing. Worked with customers to present mockups. I have a strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), typography, layout and color sense.

Music Posters

Thousands of live shows take place around the world each day. From debut gigs at the local dive to major festivals spanning multiple days, we love all kinds of popular music. Commonly undermined is the importance of event promotion, in particular, the old and trusty poster.

Digital Photography

These images capture a personality through just the eyes. They capture (or evoke) emotion. They use leading lines, the Rule of Thirds and other framing techniques to create a compositionally strong image. Photography will always be the best way to express how I see the world.

Film Photography 35mm

There’s a certain in-the-moment magic about film photography. The anticipation of waiting for it to develop is the highlight of any photography enthusiast and a nostalgic experience for some. There’s a great quote by Andy Warhol, saying “The idea of waiting for something makes it more exciting,” and in this case it couldn’t be more true.
